The Digistainability project has reached a significant milestone with the successful completion of its Needs and Gap Analysis, marking an essential step forward in shaping the future skills of marketing professionals in Europe. The results of the analysis were officially validated during an online meeting held on January the 23rd.
Throughout the process, the project team worked to map out key stakeholders from vocational education and training (VET) institutions, higher education providers, businesses, and marketing professionals. Surveys and focus groups were conducted to gather insights into current skill gaps and emerging needs. The data collected provided a detailed understanding of the challenges faced by the sector and the competencies required to address them.
Based on the findings, the team developed a new skills framework that reflects both digital proficiency and sustainability awareness—two pillars that are rapidly shaping the marketing landscape. Additionally, existing marketing and business curricula were reviewed to assess how well they address these competencies. The analysis revealed important gaps and areas where updates are necessary to ensure future professionals are equipped with the skills in demand.
The results will be soon available in our webpage.
