DIGISTAINABILITY Erasmus+ Kick off Meeting in San Sebastian

The DIGISTAINABILITY project, funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, aims to  address the sustainability and digitalization challenges facing Europe, especially in the marketing sector. Running from 2024 to 2027, the initiative brings together a consortium of partners from six countries, united by a commitment to equip marketing professionals with the critical skills necessary for a sustainable and digital future.

Project Objectives

DIGISTAINABILITY aims to:

●     Raise awareness about the sustainability challenges impacting Europe and their implications for marketing professionals.

●     Identify essential future skills in sustainability and digitalization for marketing.

●     Adapt the curricula of Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs in marketing and business to incorporate these competencies.

●     Develop innovative educational materials and micro-credentials to enhance the sustainability and digital proficiency of European professionals.

By conducting comprehensive needs analyses and creating adaptable resources, the project seeks to support European marketing workers in upgrading their skills for a changing world.

 Highlights of the Transnational Project Meeting in San Sebastian

The DIGISTAINABILITY project kicked off with a productive Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) in San Sebastian, hosted by Nazaret Fundazioa on December 4-5, 2023. Representatives from all partner organizations gathered to align on project goals, review the work plan, and outline the next steps.

Key Discussions and Activities:

During the meeting HETEL reviewed the Management Plan and presented the Management Platform.

Instituto Politécnico deTomar led workshops to identify the relevant stakeholders and target groups for the project, and led discussions on the surveys, focus groups and analysis of the curricula to determine the gaps in the current marketing education.

In the communication front,ILMIOLAVORO presented the communication plan for the project, and a sustainability plan and NAZARET presented the logo and a preliminary idea for the project website.

During the 2 days,all partners collaborated to end with a clear roadmap for achieving DIGISTAINABILITY’s ambitious goals

As DIGISTAINABILITY  progresses, it promises to deliver innovative solutions for marketing education, ensuring that future professionals are not only proficient in digital tools but also equipped to drive sustainability in their industries.
