HETEL is a non-profit association comprising 33 Vocational Education and Training (VET) centers in the Basque Country. Established in 1987, HETEL aims to enhance and lead VET through cooperation and social commitment. It promotes advanced training and internationalization, recognized for its advanced management. HETEL focuses on social transformation and strategic collaboration with businesses and society, establishing itself as a benchmark in VET and educational innovation.
The Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial & Engaged Universities (ACEEU) is an international quality assurance and project management body focused on enhancing higher education by supporting universities to become more entrepreneurial and socially engaged. Founded in 2016 as part of the University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) in Amsterdam (NL) and becoming independent in 2019 with headquarters in Muenster (DE), ACEEU has a 12-member staff and a council of over 35 international experts. Furthermore, ACEEU is affiliated with ENQA and it is also a member of INQAAHE.
ACEEU’s EU Project Unit prepares and implements EU-funded projects to promote entrepreneurship, engagement, digitalisation, sustainability and innovation in higher education institutions (HEIs). ACEEU has been involved in over 50 EU projects, working on various programs such as Erasmus+, EIT HEI Initiative, and Horizon Europe, among others. It collaborates with more than 290 HEIs, governmental bodies, SMEs, NGOs and other institutions across 37 countries, providing expertise and leadership in horizontal WP such as quality assurance, communication, dissemination and project sustainability. In content-related WP, ACEEU can lead and contribute to need analysis, market analysis, educational design, network development, platform development, tool development, among others.
The IPT (Polytechnic Institute of Tomar) has been actively participating in the Erasmus Programme (formerly Socrates and LLP) since 1989. IPT offers a Higher Professional Technician course in Digital Marketing. The faculty members involved in the project teach courses in digital marketing and supervise projects in the Master of Analytics and Organizational Intelligence.
IPT is highly experienced in promoting information technologies, using innovative applications and digital tools, fostering pedagogical methods, and participating in projects involving secondary and primary education. Through the LIED (Laboratory for Innovation and Distance Learning), IPT participated in the several ERASMUS+ projects. Using pedagogical innovation and information and communication technologies, this applied research laboratory promotes and stimulates initiatives to diversify teaching and learning in face-to-face and distance education.
